Hello and welcome to Our Teardrop build blog v2.0.
Having lost access to the first rendition of our teardrop trailer build blog (and realizing that I haven't looked at it in 7 years..), I have decided to begin anew and thus here we are. Resent events in our lives have provided a bolus of impetus for me to dive back into my more grandiose projects. So I have begun to undertake the task of reestablishing my status on said projects. The two main projects in question are my teardrop trailer and my 59 Ford. The Ford can be found here. 59f100restomod.blogspot.com and that blog will be updated shortly. This leaves the teardrop. First some background, My name is Jason and I live with my amazing wife Kristen and our wicked awesome 4 year old son Jodin. We currently live in Wasilla, Alaska. We are avid campers and we traditionally spent our time camping in a tent but then I discovered Teardrop trailers on the internet. that is all it took to convince us that we need to build one of our own. We realized that short of an RV this was going to be the best way to protect our sleeping butts from Alaska's huge population of bears. Plus we could pull it with our Dakota out onto the beach at the mouth of the Kenai River when we go dipnetting for reds without any problem. So I started to research plans and designs, quickly settling on the cub/modernistic profile as the most ascetically pleasing in our estimation. I found a few websites that had a plethora of info on teardrops and using that info I began designing our teardrop. Many months later I had blueprints for what we dubbed the Kenai Cub. This is where our build begins and now sits.. 7 years later... sigh.. Onward Ho!!!! I will get the plans posted sometime in the next few days :o)
